I’m slowly starting to get ready to go back to Europe again later this year again which brings the memories of the last year’s awesome escapade. 6 weeks of travel, lots of new places visited and most importantly catching up with family and friends, so all in all – heaps of fun. Sharing all the photos is just impossible because I have thousands of them so I’ll just try to choose some of them from places we’ve visited. Today, few random shots from London where the journey stared.

Australia Day

The 26th of January is Australia Day and it usually turns into one big party all around the country. This is very much different than Polish Independence Day which is more like ANZAC Day here. In Perth Australia Day also means Lotterywest Skyworks – huge half an hour fireworks show which is always synchronised with music being broadcast by one of the local radio stations. Have a look how people from Perth gather on the Swan river foreshore to check it out.

Caversham Wildlife Park

Today few photos of Australian icons: kangaroos and koalas. Plus few other animals that you can meet at the Caversham Wildlife Park which is located at the Whiteman Park, around 25km from Perth city center. If you feel like feeding a roo or riding a camel, that’s the place to go.

HMAS Ovens Submarine

Remember when I said it was 43 degrees on Sunday? Well, it was over 40 also on Monday and Tuesday so pretty much any way of trying to cool down is worth a try. So let’s go inside the HMAS Ovens Submarine that you can visit at the WA Martime Museum in Fremantle.

Scarborough Beach

Alright, today I just have to mention the temperature cause we’ve had this year’s hottest day so far: it was 43 degrees and believe me it is really, really hot. It’s pretty much too hot to do anything except staying at home with the air con on all the time. Fortunately yesterday was a little bit cooler (just a bit tho, 35 I think) so I went to one of the most popular beaches in Perth: Scarborough. And of course took few pictures so that you can check it out as well.
