11Kings Park
Today on Polish Independence Day (and Remembrance Day here in Australia) few photos from a place that has a War Memorial. You know how you always visit all these tourist spots when you're on holidays but never in a place that you live every day? Kings Park is a little bit like that for me. Most of times I've been there was with someone who was here on holidays :) It's a bit of a shame cause it's a really nice spot but I guess there's just too many of them here in Perth ;)
Let's start with the Memorial.
1. Kings Park War Memorial
2. From the side
The park itself is huge - over 4 square kilometers and is overlooking Perth city center and the Swan River. CBD in Perth is not that big (especially compared to Melbourne or Sydney) but I find it kind of "cute".
3. Perth city center
4. East Perth and Swan River
5. Narrows Bridge
6. Other side of Swan River (and Canning River joining it in the far distance)
You can wander around the park for hours and because it's located on a hill there's definitely few nice spots to check different parts of the city. And on the way you'll pass by some interesting plants, monuments, fountains or playgrounds.

8. Again...
9. ... and again
10. Swan Brewery and city in the distance
Don't be surprised if you get to the part of the park that looks burned. There was a massive fire in early 2009 and even tho Australian bush needs fire every now and this one is suspected to have been deliberately lit.
11. Burnt trees
That's it for today, catch ya soon.
