Brighton Beach sunset

Back to Perth, another step to get at least one sunset photo every month. This time at the Brighton Beach. It’s funny how having lived around 150km from the sea most of my life I still get a bit of excitement every time I see the ocean. And then I realise I live only 15 minutes driving away now and I always tell myself I should be coming to the beach more often :)

Butterfly garden at the Singapore Airport

I had a chance to spend fair few hours on different airports in Europe and Asia and usually it means you’re just tired, can’t wait for your next flight and are just trying to find a place to sit or preferably lie down. Because of that all airports seem pretty much the same and you just want to get out of there as soon as possible. But I have to admit I kinda enjoyed my few hours at the Changi Airport in Singapore. Plenty of places to relax, nice plants and water ponds everywhere, free internet, all of that makes it so much easier to wait but on top of that you can also find for example a pool, a cinema and… a butterfly garden.

Short visit to Frankfurt

Last time on my way to Poland I had few hours to kill in Frankfurt. The airport there is not as nice as the one in Singapore (more on it next time) but very efficient so even tho I had to collect my bag and check in again for the next flight I’ve managed to go to the city center for a while. Here few shots from there.

Champions! Champions! Kolejorz!!

Every now and then people ask me what do I miss the most living so far away from my homeland. I have to admit that apart from the obvious – family and friends – one thing stands out the most: Lech Poznan. I really do miss being at Bulgarska 5/7 and these days to support my team instead of watching games live I wake up in the middle of the night and try to find them on the net. It’s not always easy but there’s something special in the feeling that I may actually be the only person on this side of the world celebrating goals being scored at 3 or 4am. But today it all doesn’t matter because for the first time since 1993 we won the Polish league! I’m sure there’s plenty of people celebrating in Poznan now, believe me that at least one person more than 13.500km away from the capital of Greater Poland is doing exactly the same :) Kolejorz!!

Wroclaw Japanese Garden

One last visit to Wroclaw and we’re moving on, I promise. This time Japanese Garden, a very nice place to visit on a sunny afternoon. And because the weather is always good when I’m back in Poland, there was no problems with finding an afternoon just like that.
