Kata Tjuta / The Olgas

Part two of our Northern Territory trip, this time Kata Tjuta, also known as Mount Olga which is about 25km away from Uluru. It's actually a bit higher than Ayers Rock but doesn't look as impressive from the far distance cause it's not just one piece of rock in the middle of nowhere. Pretty nice to hike around it tho, even if you have to wake up before the sunrise to finish it when the temperature is still bearable.

3. This type of wood is very hard and is used by Aboriginals to make different tools. One of them is a stick that women fight with, hit for hit, right on the head. Until one of them can't stand up any more... The 'winner' then becomes a nurse and looks after the 'loser'.

14. Our camp. Yes, we slept under the stars.

15. Small lake close to our camp. It was quite surprising how green Australia's red centre is.
