Continue reading »Before we get on the Mongol Rally route let’s go to Prague when we were still very much in a “normal tourist” mode. We got to spend a very nice weekend there enjoying cheap beers and for most time nice weather. If you don’t mind crowds of tourists, come for a stroll.

Continue reading »We made it! After 38 days of driving we managed to finish the 2011 Mongol Rally and get from Czech Republic to Mongolia through Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. As you can imagine I’ve got lots and lots of photos and will definitely share them here, especially that some of them were from places people wouldn’t normally consider visiting. But for now as a small preview few photos that will hopefully show that we had an awesome experience but at times it was a pretty hard work too.

Continue reading »Been bit quiet for a while here, mostly due to my preparation for the craziness of the Mongol Rally. Leaving for Europe today and in just over a week’s time we will take off for the ultimate road trip, trying to drive a tiny car from the Czech Republic to Mongolia. I’m not expecting to have internet access too often but I promise to post a lot of photos when I’m back. In the meantime check our progress on www.mongolrally.com.au.

Continue reading »Being in Melbourne I definitely had to visit the biggest Australian stadium – Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Last time I only managed to walk around it but this time I had a chance to both do the tour of it and go and see the AFL game. Both definitely worth it, the stadium is awesome and I just have to find an occasion to go there when it’s packed.
