Sea kayaking to Penguin Island

Have a look at my Christmas present :) We went for half a day sea kayaking trip to Penguin Island, a small island just of the coast of Rockingham, which is probably around an hour drive south of Perth. Funny thing is we had no tourists on our tour, everyone was from Perth. It was still easy to feel like on holidays tho, especially in this awesome weather.

Whale watching

After a while of visiting Argentinian sides let’s go back to Perth. The summer is still well and truly on and most people are waiting for some cooler weather to finally arrive. Right now it’s around 37 degrees outside so it’s much better to be inside an air-conditioned house. Going through some of the photos from this summer I’ve found few from when we went whale watching in December, last weekend they did that tour (season is from Sept/Oct to Dec). Whales didn’t do anything spectacular but we had a chance to see them quite up close.

In the middle of Australia

Few more photos from Alice Springs and around including some animals we’ve met in there. Some of them really friendly, others not so much. Check out the last sign, fortunately we managed to “arrive alive” to everywhere we were going :)

Caversham Wildlife Park

Today few photos of Australian icons: kangaroos and koalas. Plus few other animals that you can meet at the Caversham Wildlife Park which is located at the Whiteman Park, around 25km from Perth city center. If you feel like feeding a roo or riding a camel, that’s the place to go.

AQWA – the Aquarium of Western Australia

We’ve been to Freo, which is south, before so it’s time to find some attractions in the north part of Perth. One of them is definitely AQWA – the Aquarium of Western Australia, the biggest aquarium and underwater tunnel in Australia. It’s hard to show all the interesting animals on photos but maybe just a few will convince you to make your way up to Hillarys to check AQWA out.
