Few shots from around where my parents live. Cybinka is a small town near the German border and it's one of those places where time seems to go a little bit slower which makes it a perfect place to relax. At least for me. Ok, I admit, it may also have something to do with being generally happy when visiting my folks (unfortunately not too often lately) and enjoying mum's awesome cooking ;)

The 26th of January is Australia Day and it usually turns into one big party all around the country. This is very much different than Polish Independence Day which is more like ANZAC Day here. In Perth Australia Day also means Lotterywest Skyworks - huge half an hour fireworks show which is always synchronised with music being broadcast by one of the local radio stations. Have a look how people from Perth gather on the Swan river foreshore to check it out.

Let's start the new year in Fremantle. Freo (as it's often called) is a port city around 20km south of Perth, at the mouth of the Swan River. It definitely has a different vibe than Perth city centre, there's plenty of cafes and restaurants, there's markets, lots of street performers when it's warm enough and it's definitely nice to walk around. And of course, as everywhere around Perth, there's plenty of water around.

It's 39 degrees outside right now so I've decided to go through some photos from few month ago when it wasn't so hot to cool myself down a bit ;) I found few shots of Fernhook Falls that we had a chance to visit on our trip back from Denmark. They're pretty much in the middle of nowhere and it took us quite some time driving through the forest with absolutely no one around, which made me wonder if we're actually going to get anywhere, but I think the trip was worthwhile. Have a look.

I've probably mentioned before that Perth city center is not too big but I'm not a huge fan of big cities so for me it seems just right. I don't work in the CBD any more but from time to time I like to go south of the Swan river and have a look at the city at night. Definitely not as spectacular as sitting on the other side of Sydney or Hong Kong harbour but still quite nice.

Time to take you to Denmark. Not the one in Europe tho, little town called Denmark is located on the southern coast of WA and it's a very nice spot to visit. The best time to go would probably be Perth's summer cause it's usually bit cooler down there but we had a chance to go there during Australian winter and it wasn't too bad at all.

This time few photos from a place I had a chance to visit on a way to Monkey Mia and definitely want to come back to: Kalbarri National Park. The scenery there is absolutely breathtaking and hopefully having a quick look at some of the photos below you will get the feeling what I'm talking about.
