20San Antonio de Los Cobres and Abra del Acay
Continue reading »Ruta Nacional 51 took us to San Antonio de Los Cobres, a small town situated 3,750 meters above the sea level. We also made a little detour to Abra del Acay which might be a world’s highest point over a national route. The sign says its altitude is 4,895 m but apparently if you measure it with a GPS it’s 5,061 m. Not that much oxygen there, let me tell you that!

Continue reading »Back to the Argentinian mountains, this time our trip along the national road number 51, from Salta to San Antonio de Los Cobres. By this stage we were in our third devil machine, this one looked like a 4WD but in was just a plastic and toy version of one. Still better than a normal compact car would be tho.
